Eye to Eye, Moorfields Eye Charity’s flagship fundraising event, returns on Sunday 12 March 2017 and registration is open now.
Eye to Eye is a four or 14 mile sponsored walk between Moorfields Eye Hospital and the London Eye.
It’s a perfect opportunity for Moorfields staff, patients, friends and families to join together to fund pioneering research to find better and more effective treatments for blinding diseases, making a difference to patients at Moorfields and people all over the world.
We were delighted that over 770 people stepped out to raise £166,000 for Moorfields in 2016 and hope that even more people will join us to make this year the biggest and best walk yet.
The route takes walkers past several iconic landmarks including St. Paul’s Cathedral and Trafalgar Square, as well as many of London’s hidden treasures.
Fundraisers can even choose the area of research to benefit from the sponsorship they raise: glaucoma; macular degeneration; diabetic related disease; retinal disease; corneal disease; genetic eye diseases; cataracts; ocular cancer; ocular inflammation; or simply wherever the need is greatest.
Registration is free for accompanied children under 12 and is just £18 for the 14 mile route and £12 for the four mile route. Every walker will receive a free t-shirt.
